Marc Sharer

Marc started his working career in the hotel and golf club sector, working through and training within all departments to learn every aspect of the industry. He found his niche within the events department, initially heading up the events department at The Manor of Groves Golf and Country Club and then moving on to Head of Events at Sopwell House Hotel.

He branched out on his own in 1995, initially setting up a successful Mediterranean restaurant before selling it and moving back into events. He worked for some of the leading private event caterers before launching outside events in 2004.

Since then, he has specialised in catering and producing top events for a mix of private and corporate clients – mainly in London and the surrounds but also throughout the UK, Europe and America.

In 2015, he added his own venue to the portfolio. Taking over a closed restaurant in North London, he converted the space into an exclusive use event space for private parties, including obtaining the premises licence and total fit out of the venue. After successfully building up the business for three years, he sold out to his partner to concentrate on Eighteen Events.
